After working at CTM for 4 years Robert decided to start up his own company Red Trend Construction in partnership with his wife Nyasha in 2019. They can't say it has been a smooth road, they've had a few bumps in the road with pandemic playing some part as well. Now they are running a tight ship as they have done big jobs at UNISA, SASKO and now currently at Pier 14. They thrive on perfection and get the job done and like their motto says, the quality you trust, they live up to it. The company employs 7 people at the moment as they're still growing, hopefully by the end of the year they will be double that amount as business blooms.

Robyn Williamson grew up in a hair salon, her parents owned two in PE. At 10yrs old she wasn’t given pocket money. She was given a Saturday morning and holiday job sweeping floors, cleaning mirrors and making coffee or tea...... she slowly moved up the chain and was managing the computerized side of the salon when her dad was on trips. He also sold hair products. At 12 Robyn was blowdrying her mom’s clients and she cut her first client’s hair at 13. Robyn matriculated at Hill College, she had just turned 16 and had gotten an opportunity to go to University or College. Her parents encouraged her to get a trade. At 18 she qualified as a hair stylist and at 21 Robyn opened her own salon in Amsterdamhoek. Life threw balls, some curved, some fast and some slow. Where ever she found herself, SA or UK, PE or Cape Town or London or Ashford, as soon as her colleagues heard she was a hair dresser, she did their hair.
Robyn has experienced repping, hospitality, airlines, even insurance, but always ended up doing everyone’s hair. After having her 3 beautiful kids Robyn went back part time to Hair and after her divorce 12 years ago, she had to pick up all the pieces and build her business with the love and support of her family, friends and loyal clients. God taught her a lot about faith in those first 6 years. Yes, she is a slow learner. Every month end for 6 years she cried, not knowing how she would pay the rent, pay the bills etc. A lot happened in those first 6 years. She lost everything and had to learn to keep looking up and trusting God for His provision. As you know, He Never lets us down. He taught her to Trust His Time, not hers. His ways not hers, His purpose not hers. He taught her His way and not hers. He showed her how He brings good out of a bad situation, He taught her how patient He is, especially with her. Robyn Found Him for real. A client walked in one day and took a koki pen and drew on her mirror. Of course, at first, she was horrified and then he explained.... G F B It stands for: God Family Business As long as she kept things in that order, she wouldn’t go wrong. Over the years she mixed them up a lot, but after that day she got the letters and they have been in her house ever since. Just to remind her when she gets it all mixed up. “And I do, trust me.” For the 1st 10 years she had a wonderful assistant, then Covid changed that. And she has worked from home all this time in her studio. However, God is directing her path and they are moving and growing. So, lots of exciting new ideas coming up in the next few months. The products she uses in her salon are all Healing Hair Products. Incredible science behind them all. They specialize in colour, botox, cutting, styling, virgin hair wigs. Hair loss and Hair Growth. It's about looking after Hair and the.... "Esther Experience." Every woman should feel like she is being prepared for a King, coz she is. Robyn is passionate about what she does and she loves people. She educates her clients, they undoubtedly become her friends. She cares about them and their families. Hair brings us together. She is so grateful to her parents for encouraging her and insisting she follow through with hairdressing. ![]()
