Shereen Asakhe Manya, known in media as Asakhe, is a born again Christian and a lover of God. She works at Woolworths as a manager of the Food Department, for two years now. Previously, she worked at the Boardwalk Hotel, as a restaurant manager for six years. She is fully qualified in hospitality management.
Besides her professional life, she is the visionary of a group called Women of Substance, a group of women from all over Gqerberha and from different churches. They pray together, share life and their potentials together.
Women Of Substance is a God-given vision with the aim of uniting women to stand together to fulfill God's promises about marriage and life in general. This group started in 2018 and the Lord has been faithful to them, they are still together and loving one another, complementing one another, praying for one another, and carrying each other's burden.
They recently officially launched it at the Boardwalk Hotel on the 20th of March. The response of their communities has been very good and the people of Gqerberha love it, saying they want to be a part of this great blessing, because it is rare to find such a thing. They are all about empowering fellow women to do life well, giving them a voice, lifting them up and helping them.
They do camps together, all night prayers, charitable acts together, and help their communities in the way they can.
Nasa Light was founded in the year 2020. It is an electrical company that is set out to provide it’s respectable clients with efficient and professional services. The company is based in Gqerberha, Eastern Cape, South Africa.
Nasa Light was founded by two professional young women, Ms Nandipha Jawula and Ms Asanda Mfecane, who saw a gap to bring about change in a male dominated field of electrical engineering.
The name is derived from both the founders’ names Na(Nandipha) and Sa(Asanda). The fact that they came up with such a name by combining these four letters of their names to form one name, only shows their unity as women; to come together and work hand in hand to put women on the map in a field or industry that is vastly Male-Energy dominated.
They founded the company (Nasa Light) due to the lack or vast scarcity of women in the field being in leading positions. This is a vital example to the young girls/ women out in the perishing, under-developed communities, that having a sustainable profession does not always come in the form of a business suit and a tie, dirty overalls of hard-working plumbers, electricians etc. can be another way, another alternative of putting food on the table and securing a lucrative means of an income and livelihood for self and family members.
They saw the scarcity of employment particularly in the Eastern Cape so they were more than compelled to use that as zeal and exhortation to instill and effect radical change in their lives and ultimately in the lives of others via their highly recommended services.
They pride themselves in always striving to provide their customers with quality workmanship and ensures to leaving their customers satisfied with the services they render.

He is the founder of newly established sound and production company, Let Zepplin, which prides itself in quality equipment and service for private, public and corporate gigs.

He wants to change the narrative for those, who may have always felt more technically inclined. And if so, sound might be that special place for them just as has been for him.
“I have always been intentional. I’ve always found purpose in my detours and how it may take me closer to where I want to be” these are Zepplin’s words as he reflects on his journey and career. "It has not been an easy path, but a lesson-filled one indeed and I’m only beginning."
He is excited about his first project as he looks forward to growing his brand and skill-set, whilst ploughing back into others what has been sown into him
iThetha is a newly formed company within the ICT sector and they offer language learning services. They are a language learning app which strives to bridge the gap between language barriers in South Africa by making use of English and the African languages with the first language being the IsiXhosa language at the moment and hopefully making a change in the education sector.
How the iThetha app came about is that it is a new app launched through the Enactus MTN ICT challenge which requires participants to find a technological solution to issues which are faced in either the agriculture, health or education sector making use of design thinking methodology. They chose to focus on the education sector and came up with a language learning application concept where they were then shortlisted after two stages of the competition.
Following submission for the third phase of the competition they made it into the programme and are currently in the stage of developing the language learning application as a part of the prototype phase.
They offer service plans and they are the Basic Language Plan which is free, and the Premium Language Plan which will be paid for.
Lee Anne decided to leave the corporate world when her husband needed help after he started his own business 17 years ago.
He started his company doing high pressure cleaning and waterproofing. The company grew quite quickly and then they started painting, doing ceiling installations and eventually became building contractor's.
They were involved with building and painting RDP houses and this kept them very busy especially with most of the work being out of town.
There was a good market to supply paint for RDP housing and they worked closely with a paint company and became suppliers of paint for low cost housing.
Unfortunately they lost the contract after a few years so they are not involved with low cost housing anymore but in the private sector.
Due to a neck injury, her husband has had to leave doing physical Labour and is involved with managing the business. They then decided to change the name of the business which is now Trifecta Agencies.
Owning your own business is always a rollercoaster ride, many ups and downs but they're still standing strong and loving it.

Amina Grobbelaar was born and schooled in Kimberley. Then proceeded to study at the University of the Free State where she completed a B.Mus degree in 2000. She soon realized that her interests were not in music as a career and started working in different industries over the years, including a 2 year stint as an au pair in Saudi Arabia.
In 2010 Amina started working as an admin at a debt review company in Bloemfontein and immediately realized this was what she wanted to do. She then went out on her own in 2011 and officially registered Stress-Less Debt Counsellors in 2012.
There is no better feeling knowing someone is sleeping easier at night because he/she no longer has to stress about the debt, creditors phoning day and night or even having to face the sheriff repossessing assets.
Over the years Amina has seen the need to include other services in her company to provide even better care for her clients. Currently she has compliant brokers for life cover, credit life, funeral policies as well as cover in case of retrenchment and or becoming medically unfit. She also has some very capable attorneys to assist if matters become more technical in nature.
Recently Amina has joined hands with a company to assist consumers with asset finance, business rescue and savings options in order for consumers to have a healthy financial life. What makes her services unique is that every consumer's case is handled by herself personally and with utmost confidentiality. So in short what does a debt counsellor do: The overall objectives of a debt counsellor are to assess the full extent of the debt situation, assess the assets that need to be taken into account and provide a debt remedy that works for each individual. Amina's consultations are free and can be done in person, by email or phone.

Marius Saaiman has always had a passion for car performance and sound. From a young age he has been fiddling with these things. He has built a couple of cars up, used them for drag racing and built big sound systems into some of them.
He started business in 2011. He offers a wide range of services and products for a big market.
Factory speakers tend to lose some frequencies, making it sound tinny, dull or faded. Factory radios usually have very low wattage output, causing early distortion. The volume at a certain level also tends to hold some frequencies back, while boosting others, making the listening experience not enjoyable. So by upgrading the car audio system the music will sound more alive and clearer.
Loud noise while driving on the road, especially over 100km/h, like tyre noise, wind noise, other vehicles passing, panels squeaking etc. can be frustrating at times. Sound proofing materials help to reduce these type of noises dramatically, making your ride quieter and more comfortable.
The sound system of the vehicle will sound much better. Speakers can perform more accurately, and the system has less distortion.
Soundproofing can reinforce metal body parts, making soft parts like doors that can dent easily, more solid and harder to damage.
Alarm and Central locking system:
They specialize in aftermarket Autowatch alarm and central locking systems. Autowatch offers different models with different features.
Some of the basic features are:
ultrasonic sensor; detects movement in the vehicle in a case of a window breakage or snatching goods in the vehicle.
bump sensor; detects vehicle movement or shaking in a case of wheels theft or door opening or window breaking.
anti-hijack; cuts out the vehicle in a case where the vehicle is hi-jacked.
immobilizer; cuts the engine
This is an amazing product. An electronic system that protects the metal body
parts of a vehicle. This product has a 100% protection covering over the entire metal body of the vehicle. It protects even the places where spray paint cant.
Depending on the size of the vehicle, the product comes with 4 or more anodes that are placed around the vehicle. The chemical reaction causing rust that would have taken place on the metal surface of the vehicle, now takes place on the anodes, causing the anodes to perish and not the vehicle. These anodes are replaceable and the life span depends on the weather conditions and sea level.
Marius' future plan for his business is his God given calling and purpose in life. His business is a tool to reach people, to make a difference in people’s lives. They are called to be disciples. By growing the business he can create job opportunities, to walk a path with workers, disciple them, teach them the
Kingdom of God and so grow God’s Kingdom. He is planning to bring in more business categories such as bodywork, spray-painting, servicing cars etc., plus vehicle branding & business signage.

parcels to those less fortunate and to those who have become victims of Gender-Based Violence, sexual assault, rape and domestic violence to name a few. The initiative has approached various NGO's and other institutions that are fighting the same cause and just making small contributions to those institutes. Ayakha Initiative has also created a free download copy for any women who want to download that application and apply for free sanitary pads at their discretion. There is also a WhatsApp number available for women and children who are in need of sanitary pads and toiletries.
The purpose of this initiative is help out where we can and assist the government in creating a better and brighter future for South African women and children.
To see a country where women know their worth and are confident
enough to express themselves in any environment. And promoting
The Ayakha Initiative is adamant on bringing about a change in the
early stages of South African women. By starting with young girls in
high schools and primary schools. Young girls in the rural area live
below the means of standard of living. Where in most families, sanitary pads are a luxury expense, where there must be a choice between sanitary pads and food for supper.
Young girls without these basic needs tend to lose socio aspects such as confidence, self-esteem, self-image, etc. That in turn, can hinder on their social as well as their educational life.
Socially, things such as bullying add to the mentioned above. And this, sometimes leads to school fights which sometimes lead to serious injuries and fatal accidents.
With education, some girls stay away from school due to
embarrassment. Continued absence leads to a poor educational
performance. After a poor performance, some girls drop out of school. Which increases the numbers of unemployment in South Africa. Ayakha Foundation wants to root out that from the beginning stages of these girls lives. And create a solid foundation mentally.

Treasure Ndubisi is originally from Nigeria, of the Igbo tribe. She moved to PE in 2019 after her matric. She is 19 years old born in May 2003.
She loves acting, singing dancing and playing alot
Treasure is a model but not signed under any agency yet. She is one of the models at Ace Models PE Academy. All her life her dreams have been to be a role model to people. She always dreamt of being an international model.
At first she left Nigeria to south Africa with a plan of getting a job here and further her education, but her plans didn't work out.
So she had to sacrifice her education for another thing which was modeling. She enrolled into a modeling school; Ace Models Port Elizabeth to be exact, and this modeling academy helped her a lot. They taught her things she never knew about modeling. She likes and is excited about her modeling dreams coming true.
Treasure also went for nails training in order to support herself in her modeling career...because she found out that being a model is costly. One needs money for registration and other miscellaneous costs.
Although she's not forgotten about her education, Treasure wants to concentrate on achieving one goal first which is modeling.
Although Treasure lost her mum at a tender age of 6, she has never given up on life and is determined to make a success of her life.
